Daybreak Portumna Wins European Retail Award
8th June 2023: Daybreak Portumna, owned by Mark and Anne Finn, has won the coveted NACS European Convenience Retailer of the Year Award at the recent NACS Convenience Summit which was held in Dublin. The NACS awards recognize outstanding achievements in European retail communities, providing one of the greatest benchmarks of global convenience retailing excellence.
Commenting on the win, store owner Mark Finn said:
“We have invested heavily in the store over the last year and have become a must-visit shop for the local community, offering a comprehensive range of products and excellent customer service. We are thrilled to have been recognised as the best in Europe and I’d like to thank the entire team for their continuous hard work.”
Located on St. Brendan’s Road in Portumna, the store is a popular local destination for fresh and delicious food to go as well as a convenient stop for everyday essentials. The award win comes after an investment of €1.6 million in a full refurbishment of the store in 2022 which now boasts a ‘Munch & Co’ deli, ‘9 Grams’ coffee, ‘Lickety Split’ ice-cream and a full off-licence with a great selection of beers, wines and spirits.
