Daybreak Supports 12 Dips in December with the Irish Heart Foundation
Daybreak is delighted to support the Irish Heart Foundation’s 12 Dips in December challenge this year – a nationwide initiative encouraging people across Ireland to complete 12 cold-water dips throughout December, all in aid of raising funds and awareness for heart health.
Pictured at the launch of the campaign were TV and radio presenter, fashion designer, and advocate for positive wellbeing Brendan Courtney, Emma Balmaine, CEO of the Irish Heart Foundation, and Janine Watson, Head of Retail Sales at Musgrave Wholesale Partners.
The Irish Heart Foundation is asking everyone to register and begin raising funds at irishheart.ie. All you have to do is dip 12 times throughout December – individually or with a group. You choose when and where: a sea swim, a pool, an ice bath, or even a splash of the garden hose – and track your dips on your fundraising page. Funds raised will help save lives from heart disease and stroke and support more CPR training across Ireland.
Commenting at the launch, Janine Watson, Head of Retail Sales at Musgrave Wholesale Partners, said:
“At Daybreak, we’re incredibly proud to support the Irish Heart Foundation’s 12 Dips in December challenge. Community is at the heart of everything we do, and this initiative is a fantastic way to bring our retailers and their teams together across Ireland, have some fun, and raise vital funds for heart health. We’re excited to see the impact we can make by rallying local communities around such an important cause.”
We’re encouraging everyone to get involved – whether you’re dipping solo, joining forces with friends, or cheering on Daybreak stores in your local area. It’s a brilliant way to kick off the festive season, stay active, connect with others, and support a cause that affects so many people across Ireland.
